It's nice to see things that already have some mileage behind them, experience, reputation, and it's even nicer if it supports young and creative musicians full of drive and motivation. Vičstock is certainly known to most of the residents of Ljubljana, who went crazy at least once at a music festival during their high school years. It celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and returns in all its rocking glory.
Exactly twenty years have passed, since they are students of Vič High School in 1994 organized for the first time the smaller Vičstock music festival, which in the years that followed hosted well-known local bands such as Big Foot Mama, Siddhartha, Shelter sings and others. Ever since the first plans and beginnings, which brought together ambitious and good music-loving students, the main purpose of the festival has been promotion young and unestablished groups, who present themselves to the audience on the big stage.
High goals and hard work quickly exceeded the boundaries of the school, and the burning of guitars moved from the school yard to a new one - in Svoboda Sports Park, where in recent years, in addition to many unestablished bands, they have also appeared on stage Niet, Dan D, Tabu, Vlado Kreslin and N'toko, who supported the main idea of Vičstock with their performance.
On the occasion of this venerable anniversary, the organizing team of the festival decided to invite to its stages this year Big Foot Mom, which presented itself as a young group on the stage of Vičstock twenty years ago. They will keep her company this time Lost generation, Anavrin and five orgasmic young groups – Kung Fu Vegan, Sober Assault, Ice on Fire, Indigo and High 5, but it will also be tense on the volleyball court, as it is promising traditional Vičstock volleyball tournament.
