BMW presented the new 4 Series, and we all immediately recognized the features of the Concept 4 presented a year ago. This is good, because the new four is bolder and more striking. BMW is announcing a design renaissance with it.
BMW it is already with the model BMW X7 indicated the design language that he intends to introduce in the future on new models of this prestigious Bavarian brand. But we were still surprised by the strong leap that the 4 series shows in comparison to the 3 series. Designwise, these are no longer the same cars. BMW is aware, that in the segment "coupe" boldness counts. And that's exactly why series 4 it hasn't deviated too much from the concept 4 presented just over a year ago. The latter garnered considerable enthusiasm, both from the professional and lay public.
Series 4 comes to the market in October, when it will also be available for purchase here, initially with five model versions, where the flagship model will be the top model BMW M440i xDrive with 374 horses. Only one diesel and two four-cylinder gasoline engines will remain in the offer.
Of course, there will be mild hybrid technology of the same name, which will allow the four to achieve better emission standards. All model versions will be equipped with an automatic in 2020 8-speed gearbox. There is no point in wasting words on the technologies of autonomous driving and informational solutions of the new generation. BMW always does things right here.
New ones BMW 4 Series is a real and at the same time much-needed renaissance of the brand, which has fallen asleep a bit in recent years and was not bold enough. They are bringing this boldness back to the roads and proving that in the past they knew how to surprise and make somewhat futuristic cars. Like the retired i8 for example.
