When Porsche revamps its legendary 911 model, it's always a big event, but this time the upgrade is literally electric. For 2025, Porsche has introduced the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, which combines a traditional six-cylinder engine with advanced hybrid technology. The result? A car that bridges the gap between classic and futuristic, between gasoline and electricity. And let us tell you, that bridge is paved with 532 horsepower (394 kW) and 449 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque

The secret of the new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS 2024 is hidden under the front cover, as the battery is now located under the front cover. The new 3.6-liter six-cylinder unit produces itself 478 horsepower (357 kW) and 420 lb-ft (569 Nm) of torque, which is already five horsepower more than before. But the real magic comes from the hybrid system, which includes a single electric turbocharger and an electric motor on a shaft between the turbine and supercharger, which enables extremely fast response and minimizes turbo lag.

A 32.6-horsepower (24.3 kW) traction motor is installed between the engine and the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which, together with a small but efficient 1.9 kWh battery, delivers exceptional power and responsiveness. In the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, the battery is located under the front hood, while the 12-volt battery is now behind the rear shelf, which enables optimal weight distribution.

In order to maintain capacity at the highest level, it is Porsche added active aerodynamic flaps in front, which improve cooling without increasing air resistance. The front and rear of the car have received some styling updates, new wheel options are available, and the rear tires are 10mm wider, now measuring 315/30ZR21. The interior also receives changes with a new, all-digital gauge replacing the analog tachometer.

In addition to the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS model, the base model Carrera also received improvements. Turbo chargers and coolers from earlier GTS and Turbo models are now standard equipment, delivering nine more horsepower, while torque remains the same at 331 lb-ft (450 Nm).

Porsche is with a renewed 911 Carrera GTS proved that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand. By combining a classic six-cylinder engine with advanced hybrid technology, they have created a car that not only preserves the 911's heritage, but also pushes it into the future. With a price that reflects the high performance and equipment, and availability just around the corner, the new Carrera GTS is the right choice for those looking to combine the best of both worlds. Who said you can't ride electric but in style?
