When you think of Smart, you probably think of those little city cars parked like ladybugs on city streets. Well, forget about it. Smart has just entered the SUV world with a bang. Introducing the new Smart #3.

Smart, a brand that once produced only small city cars, has now entered the world of electric SUVs. And no, this is not a joke. The new Smart #3 is the brand's second electric SUV, following the #1 model introduced last year. But while the #1 was cute and compact, the new Smart #3 is bigger and sportier.

Taking design cues from its smaller sibling, the Smart #3 offers something fresh in the electric SUV segment. With large alloy wheels, two-tone paint schemes and a sporty look, this car is a feast for the eyes. And if you think that's all it has to offer, you're wrong.

There's power under the hood. Basic model the new Smart #3 offers 268 hp (200 kW), while the more powerful Brabus version offers as much as 422 hp (315 kW) with two electric motors. And if you thought this was a slow electric car, think again. The base model reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.8 seconds, while Brabus it only takes 3.7 seconds.

In terms of range, the base model offers 455 km (283 miles) according to the WLTP standard, while the twin engine offers 435 km (270 miles). And for those always on the go, DC fast charging lets you charge 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes.

The interior is just as impressive. With a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 13-speaker Beats sound system and sports seats with the Brabus logo, driving the new Smart #3 is a real experience.

The interior of the new Smart #3 elegantly reflects the heritage of the #1. With a tall center console that discreetly separates you from your passenger, the cabin feels refined and thoughtful. Proudly boasting a 12.3-inch entertainment display on top of this console, it not only resembles the one found in the #1, but also maintains the same GUI aesthetic. And speaking of aesthetics, the car boasts a 13-speaker Beats audio system that promises an audio experience par excellence. The seats in this car not only look sporty, but with a discreet Brabus logo on the headrest, they hint that the Smart #3 might be hiding another surprise.

The new Smart #3 is like that stylish relative you see once a year at family gatherings and wonder if you're really from the same family. Its interior is haute couture, reflecting the heritage of the #1. While the tall center console discreetly separates you from your passenger, the 12.3-inch screen on top of the console reminds you that technology is here for fun.

For those looking for something special, Smart is also introducing a special edition, which celebrates 25 years of the brand. This model offers a panoramic sunroof, upgraded LED headlights and special seats in black and white.

And if you're wondering about the price, expect it to be slightly higher than the #1 model, probably around 43,000 euros.

New Smart #3 it is not only a step forward for the brand, but also for the entire segment of electric SUVs. With impressive power, range and styling, this car is truly something special. And while Smart was once considered a small player in the car market, with this new model it proves that it can play with the big boys.
