These are obvious signs that coffee is bad for you!

When and in what situations does your body tell you that coffee is bad for you?

Everything should be enjoyed in moderation, and of course this rule also applies to coffee. If you experience these symptoms, too much coffee is bad for you!

Most people can't live without a cup morning coffee, but the good news is that coffee has been linked to a number of health benefits, such as longevity and a lower risk of dementia. But even a "double dose" can cause side effects that you may not have associated with coffee until now. You don't have to give up your favorite drink, but be careful not to overdo it!

You are upset or irritated

Coffee will not calm you down, it will make stressful situations worse.

Too much coffee can make you "nervous" - caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, and at the same time increases the level of adrenaline, dopamine and glutamate. This combination can cause anxiety, nervousness, rapid heart rate, irritability and even angry outbursts.

Your energy drops during the day

Coffee is not desirable in the work environment! It causes non-productivity, which is probably the opposite of our expectations.

Coffee can wake you up very quickly and give you an "energy boost", but when that energy is used up, a sharp drop follows. Some studies have also shown that caffeine can destroy productivity, which can lead to dullness at work (exactly the opposite of the effect you want to achieve). This is also why a second or third coffee in the collective is not desirable!

We have to go to the toilet often

Caffeine is a diuretic, which means that drinking coffee will make you urinate more often, especially if you don't drink coffee often. And while some research shows that you can't actually dehydrate yourself from coffee, if you don't drink enough water with it, your body won't be hydrated enough. This is also why it is customary to always serve you water with your coffee! Hydration is essential!

Your sleep schedule is disrupted

Scientists agree that coffee can disrupt sleep and reduce its quality and length. Even if you consume coffee 6 hours before going to bed, it may happen that you cannot fall asleep in the evening. Coffee can also disrupt your body's daily rhythm, making you feel tired and sluggish throughout the day. Therefore, be careful with drinking coffee after 4 o'clock in the afternoon!
