It gave us a better insight already at this year's CES, and from today you can order it, because the concept has become a reality!
ThinkPad X1 Fold has a number of high-end specifications in categories "ultrabooks", such as the latest Intel Core processor with hybrid technology and Gen 11 graphics, fast RAM, up to 1 TB of storage space, Windows 10 Pro and not just one, but several ports for "Type-C”, which allows for rapid scalability. Among other things, it has built-in Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity options.
The largest star is somehow a screen formed by the surface of dimensions 13.3-inch in technology OLX QXGA (2048×1536) that supports touch control. Half of the screen can take over the function of a "digital" keyboard, and you can buy an analog one as an accessory.
Although it is already clear today that ThinkPad X1 Fold won't be a hit, it's obvious that Lenovo thought long and hard about it. The company has been working on the design and concept for over four years and truly believes that it is ThinkPad X1 Fold a concept that illustrates the future of such devices and opens up the potential that this category of devices can fulfill.
To make it work, they had to make massive adjustments to the software, which allows users to take advantage of a single screen that folds into two.
The idea of foldable personal computer, which can connect to 4G and 5G, supports “ink”, can function as an e-reader and is still small enough for a small purse, is undeniably fascinating.
Maybe this moment is just that price, which will prevent him from mass success. ThinkPad X1 Fold will be available for around 2,500 euros.
