Stars are everywhere. In the sky, in poetry, in books, sometimes even in names. Probably, these shining celestial bodies are one of the oldest teaching materials of mankind. The greatest minds studied them, followed them and discovered new discoveries. And for that they also needed a telescope. Well, we would like to introduce you to a very special one.
Company Unistellar is in collaboration with the SETI Institute, which deals with by exploring life in space, developed Unistellar Evscope Smart Telescope, which is extremely easy to use, yet incredibly powerful.
They say it's supposed to be just hundreds of times more powerful than the average telescope. It decorates it contrast ratio 1,000,000 : 1, which means it will 'take' you where a normal telescope couldn't. The diameter of the lens measures 11.43 centimeters, and magnification ranges from 50x to 150x magnification. It is also decorated with an OLED screen and a battery that lasts up to 10 hours.
However, Unistellar Evscope differs in something else. Something important. It is a smart device that you will be able to connected to a smartphone and thus could also manage it. It will also be able to identify specific stars or planets. The telescope is also extremely practical, as it comes with a tripod it weighs only 7 kilograms, so you can easily carry it around.
You can back the project on Kickstarter, and the price for the Unistellar Evscope Smart Telescope is 1,300 euros.
