Countries you can travel to if you are vaccinated against the coronavirus

Vaccinations against the coronavirus are underway around the world, and many travelers are hoping that this will allow them to travel smoothly again. While the so-called "covid passport" is still being debated, some countries have already started to relax restrictions on vaccinated travelers who have a medical certificate of vaccination. Some countries even recognize a certificate of having recovered from the disease, if it is known that the immunity still lasts.

Although healing in Slovenia is slower than in some other countries, the news that we can travel to some countries without a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test or even mandatory quarantine gives us optimism. We have prepared an overview of the countries to which you can travel without interruption if you have received the vaccine against COVID-19.

Cyprus

Cyprus already announced in December that it would allow vaccinated travelers to enter its country without the prescribed quarantine. Those who prove at the border that they have received both doses of the vaccine will be able to enter the country without an additional negative PCR test. This is likely to only apply to travelers arriving from destinations that are on the safe country list.

Estonia

Passengers who have a certificate that they have received the prescribed dose of one of the 9 internationally recognized vaccines can enter the country without restrictions. The vaccination certificate must be written in Estonian, Russian or English. Restrictions have also been lifted for people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the past six months - such passengers must, in addition to a medical certificate, also undergo a PCR test proving that they are no longer infected with the coronavirus.

Iceland

Vaccinated travelers from the countries of the European Union and Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland will not have to go into quarantine after arriving in Iceland after May 1, nor will they be forced to show a negative PCR test. For this you will need a document in English proving that you have received two doses of one of the three main vaccines.

Romania

On January 18, Romania lifted the quarantine for vaccinated travelers. Those who traveled at least 10 days after receiving the second dose of the vaccine and have proof that they received the vaccine, did not need karatena upon entering the country.

Georgia

Georgia has also decided to accept travelers who have received two doses of any vaccine against the coronavirus. As proof, passengers must show a medical certificate of vaccination. All those who have not been vaccinated must have a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours. In addition, another test must be taken on the third day of stay in the country.

Seychelles

In January, the Seychelles joined countries that abolished mandatory quarantine for vaccinated travelers. Those who have received a full dose of any vaccine must still show a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours with a medical certificate that they have been vaccinated when entering the country. Passengers who have not received the vaccine must go into a 10-day quarantine with a negative test.

Poland

Travelers from EU countries can visit Poland without undergoing the mandatory ten-day quarantine on the basis of a certificate proving that they have been vaccinated against Covid-19. Those who have a negative test that is not older than 48 hours can also go to Poland without quarantine.

Since the number of countries adopting similar measures as the above-mentioned countries is increasing, since tourism is one of the most important activities for them, we will constantly supplement and refresh the list.
