Many car enthusiasts they hold their heads when automakers announce driverless cars and vaporless powertrains. But this is definitely the future of the automotive world, which no one can escape. So we can almost bet that there will be vehicles that will make it possible 5th level of autonomous driving, prevented accidents and consequently had lower insurance premium, because the probability of an accident will be 100 times lower. Smart systems already prevent, for example accidents when parking a vehicle, when sensors prevent you from leaning against another car, for example. Most new vehicles are equipped with the "city safety”, which prevents or even automatically intervenes in driving up to a certain speed and stops the vehicle to prevent a collision or injury to a pedestrian.
Humans are not omnipotent. We only have two sensors built in. Sight and hearing. The situation on the road can only be monitored in one direction. Artificial intelligence will have it at its disposal hundreds of sensors and will communicate with other vehicles on top of that. In 15 or 20 years, people will wonder how brave we were to let a human drive.
Like all the latest concepts Volkswagen ID Vizzion represents a sedan that is fully electric and at the same time fully autonomous. Unlike many, Volkswagen is seriously announcing the production of this vehicle as part of the ID family The first project of the ID family is expected to hit the roads in 2020, with all-wheel drive, it will thus offer 302 electric horses and a range of around 550 kilometers. The concept VOLKSWAGEN ID VISION CONCEPT is equipped with level 5 autonomy and this is also why the cabin is devoid of all traditional controls such as the steering wheel, accelerator and brake pedals. You will operate the car only with your voice and gestures. There are not even traditional buttons in the car, but most of the functions can be operated with gestures, voice and screens. Such a product should enter production by the end of the year at the latest 2022. But at that time, the steering wheel and pedals will still be expected precisely because of legal regulations, because in all probability it will not be possible to adjust the legislation.
