Interior design trends change every year, as new devices, furniture and appliances are always coming to the market. Some materials are replaced by new, more practical ones, while others return after a break of several years. Here are 10 kitchen trends that will reign supreme over the next year.

1. Strong contrasts

This trend is intended for everyone who is not afraid of taking risks when planning their rooms. To achieve a bold contrast, choose shade, which are on opposite sides of the colored circle (eg green and red). You may be surprised by the aesthetic combination they can create.

2. Dark shades

If you like to play with colors, you can also look at the trend of creating contrast between black cabinets or walls, white furniture and brown– the color of the wood. Black is no longer considered a color that would create threatening feelings - in such a combination it will turn out to be lively, inviting and elegant.

3. A golden sink

Furniture can be found in all colors, shapes and sizes, and sinks are no exception. Golden sink will bring a very special aesthetic to your kitchen (especially in combination with white furniture), but at the same time it will be no less practical.

4. Home atmosphere

Since the kitchen is often a place where we take a break from the uncertain and constantly changing reality when preparing a meal, it is important that we feel somewhat relaxed in it. You can create a pleasant, homely atmosphere with flowers, wall art, decorative ceramics, shelves with cookbooks and other interesting things that may not be the most typical for the kitchen.

5. White shades

They are suitable both for those who prefer to stay with basic color combinations, and for those who are happy to try something new - white walls, cupboards and drawers they will match furniture of any color.

6. Double kitchen island

If you have space to spare, you can use it to set up two kitchen islands, which can be interconnected with decorative shelf. This is practical especially for larger families, where it often happens that several people prepare a meal at the same time.

7. Raised shelf

If you are close to the minimalist style, you will like the trend where instead of several kitchen cabinets above the stove there is only one raised shelf. You can decorate it with flowers, photo or fine art or store on it accessories, which you use most often. This can be a favorite cup, salt and other spices and the like.
You can put other things in the pantry or cabinets on the other side of the kitchen, for which it is most aesthetic and convenient to stand next to the refrigerator.
