The meaning of Lent

The rebellion ceased after the 10th century and since then carnival week represents a time when you are happy let's do it and participate in various parties and masked dances.
The carnival event ends with Ash Wednesday, which occurs the day after Shrove Tuesday, and that's when it starts fasting before Easter.

Traditional masks and celebrations

You are probably familiar with a traditional Slovenian carnival character: current. It is certainly one of the traditional carnival costumes Cerkljan Laufar. The group of Cerkljanski laufarje consists of 25 characters with different the opposite side or larvae. Carnival treats
