Remember the days when all we knew was cow's milk? Today, it is not unusual to be asked what kind of milk you will drink your coffee with. The choice of milk depends not only on the taste, but mainly on which one is less harmful.
Soy, oat, rice, almond or goat milk? What is the healthiest alternative to cow's milk?
Soy milk
It is the closest approximation to cow's milk, but it contains only vegetable proteins. It does not contain milk lactose and animal hormones. It reduces the risk of osteoporosis and prevents certain types of cancer. Its weakness is that it causes hormonal disturbances due to plant estrogen. It also contains various types of sugar, so it should be consumed in moderation.
Oat milk
It contains more calcium than cow's milk and has fewer calories than other plant-based milks. 2 dcl of oat milk contains only 2.5 grams of fat. It's great for breakfast.

Rice milk
It is lactose-free, gluten-free and easy to digest, but contains more carbohydrates than cow's milk. It contains vitamins A and D, but is mostly sweetened with rice syrup. It is a fairly high-calorie drink, so it makes no sense to overdo it.
Almond milk
It is rich in magnesium, antioxidants, vitamin E, selenium, calcium and manganese. It tastes great and is a bit more expensive. Almonds are a fairly expensive food, so almond milk does not contain a lot of them, and as a result, the amount of vitamins is small.
Goat's milk
A special feature of goat's milk is that it is easy to digest. It contains iron, large amounts of calcium and magnesium. It has an anti-carcinogenic, antibacterial and anti-allergic effect. It is also a natural anti-aging agent.
