Homemade white Nutella
Ingredients
- Ingridients:
- 1 cup raw hazelnuts
- 1 cup white chocolate or chopped white chocolate
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Directions
- Heat the oven to 180 °C. Spread the hazelnuts on the baking sheet and roast for about 10-12 minutes or until the shells start to crack. Let them cool down a bit.
- When the hazelnuts have cooled enough, place them on a clean tea towel and rub together to remove as much of the skin as possible.
- Grind the roasted hazelnuts in a blender until they have a smooth, buttery consistency. This may take a few minutes, so be patient.
- In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt the white chocolate until smooth and creamy.
- Add melted white chocolate, powdered sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to the hazelnut butter in a food processor. Mix until everything is well combined and the mixture is silky smooth.
- Taste the white Nutella and adjust the sweetness by adding more powdered sugar if desired. Stir again.
- Place the homemade white Nutella into a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid. Store it in the fridge and it will keep for a few weeks.
