Winter in silence: Vidde Alfa, the first 100% electric snowmobile

When nature is covered in white, Vidde Alfa comes as an answer to a long-standing challenge: how to combine the love of winter adventures with environmental responsibility. The developers of Vidda, Christian Lystrup and Yalda Mirbaz, decided to change the traditional view of snowmobiles. With their approach to design and production, they want to create a vehicle that fits perfectly into the silence of nature, while at the same time offering a fast and exciting adventure.

Powered by a 130-kW (174 hp) electric drivetrain, the Alfa promises a range of up to 100 km per charge and a towing capacity of over 270 kg with its 18.4-kWh heated battery. Using a level 2 charger, the battery is fully charged in approximately 3.5 hours. Vidde strives not only to eliminate tailpipe emissions, but to a more comprehensive and sustainable approach that includes the use of sustainable materials, life extension and second life planning for components and materials.​​

In collaboration with Pininfarina, they designed a visually appealing snow scooter that combines aesthetics and functionality. It is equipped with a battery heating system that ensures reliable operation even at temperatures down to -39 degrees Celsius. This innovation allows explorers to explore snowy terrains with minimal environmental impact without sacrificing the thrill and power offered by traditional snowmobiles​​.
