Virtually every car manufacturer is thinking about the electric drive today. And that is also why it seems logical that a manufacturer that specializes only in the production of electric-powered pick-up vehicles appears. Let's welcome a new car brand - Workhorse.
The Workhorse Electric Pickup Truck is an ecological alternative to your average work vehicle or pick-up truck. Equipped with Panasonic batteries, it can squeeze out of electric motors 460 horsepower, which transmits them to all 4 wheels (4 x 4 drive). So from 0 to 100 km/h accelerate in a pinch 5.5 seconds. The range of the battery is sufficient for something over 120 kilometers, and then the generator comes into action, producing electricity from the internal combustion engine.
We have already seen similar technologies in some cars such as Fisker Karma and Chevy Volt (Opel Ampera). And that's why the range of this car without recharging increases to more than 380 kilometers. The large and powerful battery allows the truck to be a kind of large battery station to which various working machines can be connected. The carrying capacity of the car is also interesting, which is not far behind similar classic pick-ups and amounts to a good ton.
As befits an electric vehicle, all well-known driver assistance systems reign supreme in the interior. An extremely modern and minimalist work environment awaits us.
