Nissan's office on wheels is still a concept at the moment, but if the Nissan Office Pod hits the market, we have no doubt it will attract many digital nomads.
The coronavirus has forced millions of people around the world out of their offices and into the privacy of their homes, and now the team at Nissan has an interesting new idea for what it could look like the office of the future - on wheels.
Just look at the photos and video posted by Nissan and everything will be clear to you. Nissan NV350 Office Pod is a concept vehicle presented at the Tokyo Motor Show, which of course takes place virtually. So it is a concept that may remain just an interesting idea, but maybe Nissan will decide anyway and turn this concept into a real product that it will be able to offer on the market.
It's Office Pod a combination of a motor home and a large van with a small office, hidden in the back, which you can take anywhere you want. For example, you can work from the Prekmurje plains for a week and then move to the mountains, and then enjoy and work on the beaches of the Adriatic Sea for a week. Of course, if you are in nature or by the sea, you will definitely not work in a closed and claustrophobic van. Fortunately, you can pull out the office part (which you can do with the help of an app and a single touch of your smartphone screen) and this allows you to enjoy the outdoors.
The office part consists of the most basic things - a work chair and a table, and during breaks between work and projects or during meetings via Zoom, you will most likely spend time on the roof. This one has large deckchair and parasol, and are also part of Office Pod coffee machine and refrigerator, so it is not difficult to imagine that with all this and in an ideal natural environment with a view of one of the Adriatic islands, it would be easy to forget about work.
Fingers crossed that Nissan realizes this project!
