The completely new generation of Citroën C3 brings to the segment of small city cars the cute and futuristic playfulness that we already met with the Citroën C4 Cactus. Thus, Citroën continues the successful story of the model, which has been produced in as many as 3.5 million units since 2002. And he announces an interesting model offensive, where he wants to win hearts mainly with a certain amount of boldness.
Recently, Citroen has been breathing more and more into its basic brand orientations, and among them we can write - boldness - in one of the first places. The story that he started with the Citroën C4 Cactus - thus continues in a completely new guise of the popular city kid Citroën C3. Only this one will impress the young at heart with its colorfulness and boldness. With its colorful character traits, it will transform the style commands of the car market and bring a wave of freshness and optimism into it. Design-wise, it leans heavily on its slightly larger brother – the C4 Cactus.
Thus, you will notice the same design elements on the doors - AirBump - a kind of safety pads that protect the body in the city from the inattention of the user in parking lots. The similarity also continues in the front part, where the daytime running lights are placed extremely high and have a specific low shape and are two-level. The rear is decorated with 3D rear lights that stand out slightly from the smooth surface of the rear.
The new Citroen C3 bets on individualism, which is why it will be available in as many as 36 color combinations - i.e. nine basic colors and various secondary colors of body elements (roof, rear-view mirrors). Thus, the street kid will be stylistically coordinated with the owner and an extremely individual product that will impress in urban centers.
Since the city vehicle also has a "shopping" utility, there is a good 300 liters of luggage space hidden in the back of the new C3, in which you can store a large suitcase and not just shopping bags without any problems. By collapsing the seats, you will gain an incredible almost family volume of space for camping trips to Provence.
Inside, the story fascinates, because it is an extremely minimalistic and modern design of the passenger compartment, which is decorated with a rather different, but therefore also very likable! The dashboard, which in many details resembles the bigger brother of the C4 Cactus, impresses with its simplicity and clean lines, which ensure its uniqueness.
In the middle reigns the 7-inch touch screen, which hosts the connectivity technologies of the urban toddler Citroen C3.
It goes without saying that the C3 is at home in the city. The new C3, which is particularly agile thanks to its turning circle diameter of 10.7 m, measures 3.99 m in length and offers plenty of compactness in the city. In addition to yourself, you will be able to transport 4 souls in it.
Innovation simply cannot be done without, so with the new C3, Citroen presents ConnectedCAM – a kind of camera that is placed just behind the interior rear-view mirror and records everything that the driver sees in front of him outside the vehicle. It records with a 120-degree angle with full HD resolution, 2 million pixels, GPS connection and contains an internal memory of 16 GB.
Of course, it is connected to the world through the app and allows the user to create videos of up to 20 seconds and high-quality photos that can be shared on social networks. Also, it works like a kind of black box, since it is triggered when a vehicle crashes and stores a recording 30 seconds before the accident and one minute after. Clever and quite innovative.
The new C3 is equipped with the latest generation PureTech petrol engines and efficient and economical BlueHDi diesel engines. Thus, the PureTech 68, 82 and 110 (Stop & Start) three-cylinder engines and the BlueHDi 75 (Stop & Start) and 100 (Stop & Start) diesel engines are available. To ensure the maximum level of driving comfort, the new C3 will also be available with an automatic transmission soon after the sales launch.
We will see it on city streets before the end of this year.
