Festival Maribor 2016

The Maribor Festival concentrates on combining various artistic trends with classical music. It aims at a wide audience - from toddlers to senior citizens, but above all it wants to attract those who are often excluded from such events. Festival Maribor 2016 will therefore include the elderly as well as prisoners and hospitalized persons in its audience. The festival has a rich history, as its roots go back more than half a century. Every year, the festival hosts top musicians on its stages and, according to many foreign and domestic media, it is considered one of the best European summer festivals.

Festival Maribor 2016, which will take place between September 6 and 17, will enable a wide audience to visit a rich cultural program under its auspices. In 2014, the Maribor Festival was selected by the web portal The Culture Trip ranked among the ten best festivals in Europe, too international organization EFFE but she confirmed it as of artistic quality and has a far-reaching influence on the development of culture at local, national and international levels.

You can read more about the program here. Tickets are already available. Prices start at €15 for the evening concert, at least €3 for the matinee, and a subscription for 8 concerts costs €90. Unemployed persons in case they have unfilled halls free entry. Disabled people are entitled to tickets at half price, while students and pensioners can purchase tickets with a 20% discount.
