Planica 2014 - The final of the World Cup in ski jumping and flying brings four days of sporting joy to all fans of ski flying.
If anything, then this year Planico we look forward to it! After championship successes and combativeness (remember Robi Kranjec and his knee in Sochi) of ours this season, which culminated with two Olympic medals Petar Prevac in Sochi, another spectacle is expected. Winter has several highlights and Planica is one of them.
This year the jumps will take place on Bloudk's giants. As every year, the action in Planica will start on Thursday with the official training, followed by Friday's men's singles match, on Saturday the men's team match and the women's singles match are on the program, and on Sunday the events reach their climax with the men's singles match. What is fresh in Planica is also their effort for Sustainable Development.
Last year, they started the first season of Planica for sustainable development, and then they brought 1,220 people to Planica by train, they improved circular transport, they set up containers for waste separation, they introduced deposits for beverage packaging, they increased the offer of local food, in Snežna and the region built a training ground for sports activities. This year, the project will be strengthened and upgraded.
