Movie Trailer: The Great Wall (2016)

While we can see him brandishing a gun in Jason Bourne on posters and soon on the big screen, in the latest and first-ever trailer for the big-budget film The Great Wall, he brandishes a bow. The Great Wall is, of course, the almost nine thousand meter long Great Wall of China, but in the American-Chinese production film (in terms of financial terms, it is the largest film cooperation between the United States and China in history) it does not protect people from the invasions of Mongolian and Hun tribes, but rather and monsters! The giant of Chinese cinema, Zhang Yimou, wielded the director's baton over the film.

Matt Damon is just beginning its film journey in cinemas as Jason Bourne, but we can already see what he will be doing in his next film project. The gun and bullets will replace the bow and arrows. The movie The Great Wall is a mixture of different genres - fantasy, historical and action (you will have to watch it in 3D technology), which can already be seen in the first trailer for the film by the legendary director Zhang Yimou (Hero, Flowers of War, Not one less).

Who is the Great Wall of China really protecting Matt Damon and company from?

In the movie The Great Wall, in addition to familiar names such as Matt Damon, Willem Dafoe and Pablo Pascal (yes, that model whose skull was crushed by the "Mountain" in Game of Thrones), there are also many well-known film names in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan who are completely unknown to us. After all, this is as much a Hollywood film as it is a Chinese film (a child of the studios Legendary Entertainment, Le Vision Pictures and China Film Group), for which they reserved just 160 million budget (in dollars)! Not much is known about the story, except that it will revolve around the Great Wall of China during the Song Dynasty (approx. a millennium ago) and ancient Chinese monsters, which threatens the people.
