Many of us cannot imagine life without coffee: it is the first thing we reach for in the morning and is a faithful companion at work and when hanging out with friends. And so it's no surprise that this miraculous drink that banishes our fatigue also has its own holiday. Do you already know how you will mark it?

You can brighten up your day by visiting yours favorite coffee shops, whether it is in the company of your closest friends or you indulge in daydreaming with a delicious drink, you can try recipe for a special type of coffee that you have not prepared yet, and you can also mark the holiday with charity.
Famous Viennese coffee roasters Julius Meinl This year, October 1st is being celebrated in cooperation with To the Jane Goodall Institute Austria. The institute will be for every order of premium coffee that Julius Meinl until October 31 received by its business partners in hotels, cafes and restaurants, in Tanzania planted one tree.
They assume that they will plant just like that 12,000 trees. The goal of the project is to enrich the local living environment and protect endangered animal species, while at the same time reducing the dependence of the local population on hunting and deforestation. 3. Each tree grows 5-8 berries, which means 1-2 kg of roasted coffee and 1-2 harvests per year.
4. The caffeine in the fruits of the cocoa tree is also loved by bees and other pollinators, and it acts like a poison on pests and repels them from the plant.
5. The global business of coffee production is worth as much as $200 billion, making coffee the 2nd largest traded commodity. It is surpassed only by crude oil.
6. There are as many as 25 million coffee growers in the world.
7. The most popular types are Arabica (sweet taste, less caffeine) and Robusta (lighter taste and higher caffeine content).
8. Scandinavians drink the most coffee per year (as much as 12 kg), followed by Swedes (10 kg), and Icelanders and Danes (9 kg) share third place.
9. Slovenians drink an average of 6 kilograms of coffee per year.
10. At home, we prefer to make Turkish coffee and coffee in the cafeteria, and coffee with milk based on espresso in coffee shops.
11. There are approximately 4,000 cafes in Slovenia.
12. We drink 330 tons of roasted Julius Meinl coffee per year.
