23. LENT Festival 2015 (programme)

From June 26 to July 11, Maribor will once again come to life in its most beautiful colors. The most popular festival along the Drava: LENT will take place in the Styrian capital already on the 23rd. Here are some key moments of the program.

In the first days of summer, Maribor shows itself in its most beautiful cultural and social colors every year. This year, along the Drava River, Lent festival thus spreading music, good will and laughter for the twenty-third time. Although the festival had to give up the floating stage on the Drava this year due to a lack of financial resources, this deficit will be practically imperceptible due to the arrangement of the other venues and, of course, the quality program.

The official start of the festival will be announced by a dance performance Hunting season, and even before that there will be days in the sign Open dance scenes. It will not be lacking for artistic souls Art Camp, and will bring picturesque folkloric dances and music closer to us Folk art. Performances by comedians will ensure that we don't forget to laugh, and theater lovers will surely be delighted by the comic horror Dracula. Of course, quality music is also necessary for good socializing. Among others, Serbian rockers will perform Fish soup, Zagreb punks Cold beer, an American jazz-fusion guitarist Al Di Meola and Bill Frisell, Brazilian connection Bossa Negra and Hamilton de Hollanda, a South African trumpet player Hugh Masekela, an international electro-tango trio Plaza Francia and many other well-established bands and DJs, who will provide entertainment until the morning hours.

Classical music lovers will be treated to concerts within the framework Salon of musical artists, and hunger will be taken care of by the largest culinary festival of street food in Slovenia SladoLent. It will also take place throughout the festival Sports Lent and thus rounded off the most varied events of the Styrian capital. The price of the single Lente festival ticket, which is also valid as a free bus ticket during the festival: 20 euros (until June 21), or 25 euros (after June 21). For the most high-profile performances, an additional fee is required.
