Day 3 of LJFW: Fashion Rhapsody of the Third Night

Svetlana Jaćović (Svetlana Jaćović), collection Collection "S" // Collection S

On the third day of LJFW, the following brands presented themselves: maja štamol, Young@Squat, Dejan Popovic (RS), Sanija Reja Aske, Svetlana Jaćović, niOka and Sofia Nogard.

maja štamol (Maja Štamol Droljc), collection name: SHEONA

"With your head in space and your feet firmly on the ground" is a collection that combines everyday creations and creations for special occasions. It follows global trends, but not too much. Self-confident and charismatic. Usually in black, this time it also touches on colors and shines. The creations came to life in combination with designer jewelery by Maja Štamol, handbags by Mura Pehnec and attractive shoes made in Kopitarna."

Young@Squat (Timotej Bistan, Barbara Krmelj, Maja Leskovšek, Sara Valenci, Barbara Vrbančič), collection name: Vincent & Christina

“The autumn-winter 16/17 season was inspired by the couple Vincent Gallo and Christina Ricci. The avant-garde man is dressed in unusual colors and new combinations of basic pieces, such as a skirt and a denim jacket. The dark-romantic woman wears ultra-feminine modern silhouettes, which are sharpened by fresh combinations of textured and patterned materials. The collection is connected by the play with the flap detail.”

Dejan Popovic (Dejan Popovic), collection name: Pockets Full of Stones ss2016

"Pockets full of stones" collection was inspired by the death of coral reefs. A diverse and colorful ecosystem that turns into nothing, only death in white and blue remains. The palette of colors was limited to white and various shades of blue, from light, almost fluorescent, to dark tones. The collection works limited, but at the same time is very fluid, sharp shapes often blossom into pleated materials and vivid patterns.”

Sanija Reja Aske (Sanija Reja), collection name: ViennaWien

“ViennaWien's Autumn/Winter 2016 collection revolves around a story of naive young love. Seemingly romantic and playful, with a hidden undertone of mischief. A love that is like from old black-and-white films of the thirties, combined with modern times."

Svetlana Jaćović (Svetlana Jaćović), collection name: Collection “S” // Collection S

“The perfection of geometry. Sublimation. Synergy. Synthesis. Optical illusions. The S collection was created in the process of researching geometric shapes and the basic laws of geometry as a branch of mathematics that deals with the study of functions and relationships between spatial shapes - geometric bodies: surface, line and point. In fashion design, the focus of the collection is on the study of the functions and relationships between materials, their synergy and diversity, which in perfect execution give a unit that works in its diversity. The collection also features influences from Eastern arabesques, optical illusions created with basic geometric shapes.”

niOka (Nika Ravnik), collection name: JA MAA VOS

"JA MAA VOS is a women's clothing collection inspired by the Dutch artist Jan Maarten Voskuil. His original spatial paintings are based on geometric principles. By creating three-dimensional works of art, he evokes ambiguous round surfaces. Asymmetrical works point to an endless field of "free forms" that lead to an even more sophisticated opus."

Sofia Nogard (Mija Curk, Boštjan Mljač), collection name: ERADICATED

"The collection is a story about a community of people in the not-so-distant future who finally break free from digital/virtual technology and live again, perhaps somewhere deep in the forest or in some natural, primitive environment, far from the crazy world. It is a story about people who are somehow forced to start over or just change the existing ones. Even when it comes to dressing or clothes."
