Maybe quirky hotels aren't the reason you'll start scrambling for a plane ticket, are they?! We offer you some of the most unusual accommodations on European soil. Some are definitely worth a visit.

Hotel Katajanokka, Helsinki

Hotel Katajanokka is located in a historic building from 1837 that once served as a prison, but the new owners have transformed it into a modern and uniquely furnished hotel. The rooms are reconstructed from the original prison cells with a unique and functional design that offers all the comforts and conveniences. In the basement of the former county jail, there is a restaurant that offers Finnish-Scandinavian local and organic food.

Hotel Ještěd, Ještěd

Hotel Ještěd, which boasts a unique architectural design and concept, is built at an altitude of 1012m above sea level. It is located at the top of the Ješted mountain and is only accessible by cable car. Its architect, Karel Hubáček, designed the shape of the hotel to resemble a large broadcasting tower, which houses the hotel rooms and the restaurant, all of which offer breathtaking views of the landscape.

STF Jumbo Stay, Stockholm

The hostel offers overnight accommodation in a real, grounded, Boeing 747 jumbo jet. It is located right next to Stockholm Arlanda Airport and offers a free shuttle to the airport. You can spend the night in standard cabins or in the cockpit, and in the morning you will be spoiled with a delicious breakfast. Guests have access to a shared balcony located on the wing of the aircraft.

Nhow, Berlin

The only music hotel in Berlin that includes studios and a recording booth. You can even order a guitar or keyboards via room service. nhow allows you to experience music, art and fashion both through interior design and offer. The first music hotel in Europe is located directly on the banks of the River Spree, in Berlin's Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district, and bears the signature look of star designer Karim Rashid.
