The man of your life or a person with dangerous intentions? Hm... Check how to recognize that it is a fake profile - a "fake" profile.

Social media dating is still very popular, so much so that people don't seem to be meeting each other anymore. However, one must be very, very careful when establishing communication in this way.

Social networks have become very popular from the moment they appeared, so there is hardly a person who does not have at least one profile on some platform.

As with everything, there are always good and bad sides, so social networks have brought a lot of positives, but there has also been a huge problem of fake profiles. How to recognize them?

How to recognize a fake profile on social networks

If you've decided to meet someone online, check the profile in a few simple steps to make sure everything is fine and it's not a fake profile.

1. They don't write anything about themselves

Fake profiles are not perfect, we often have too little information about the person behind them. If only first name, last name and age are given, there is a high probability that the profile is fake.

2. They only have one photo

If they have only one perfect photo on their profile, and even a professional one, it is mostly a fake profile.

3. They don't have many friends or followers

If very few people are following your suspicious account, that's not a good sign. In particular, check if they have the same followers and friends on different social networks, because if they don't, it might be a fake account.

4. They say they live in another country

If they complain to you that they are trapped abroad and end up demanding money, then this is one of the surest signs that you need to block the account. The most important thing is that you never give your TRR number, address... to an unknown person from the Internet.

5. They send you different links

Viruses are often hidden behind such messages, which can even take money from your card and hack into accounts, so avoid communicating with people who send you such messages.

6. They confess their love to you too quickly

It is impossible to love someone so much without even getting to know them. Scammers use just such methods and will tell you very quickly how much they love you and how you are a soulmate.

7. They keep making excuses about why they can't get to know you

At your insistence that they see each other in person, they keep looking for reasons why they don't have time. Ask yourself why.

8. They look too good to be true

Some will go out of their way to look perfect in photos, as well as in communication with you, while virtual. If you think for a moment that everything is too good to be true, it is definitely a lie.
