Ingredients

  • Ingredients for sponge cake
  • 500 g ground biscuits
  • 200 g of coconut (ground almonds, walnuts or hazelnuts)
  • 250 g of sugar
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 250 g of butter or margarine
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons of rum
  • Ingredients for the glaze
  • 200 g of cooking chocolate
  • 6 tablespoons of oil

Directions

  1. Mix the cookies and coconut in a large bowl.
  2. Place the milk, margarine, sugar and vanilla sugar in a saucepan and place over a low heat to melt all the ingredients.
  3. As soon as the ingredients are melted, pour them over the cookie and coconut mixture and mix them with a food processor.
  4. Add the rum and continue mixing, preferably with your hands, so that the ingredients are well combined.
  5. Lightly grease the baking tray with margarine and spread the mixture on the baking tray.
  6. Pour the chocolate glaze over the top and put everything in the fridge to harden.
  7. When you decide to cut the cake into small cubes, take it out of the refrigerator and leave it at room temperature for at least 15 minutes so that it does not crack when you cut it.
