I'm sure we all know the feeling of always finding an excuse why we haven't done something. But when it comes to physical activity, there can be even more of these excuses. Therefore, it is important to overcome this feeling and awaken the sports enthusiast within. You can definitely do this with the eight steps below.

1. Choosing the right sport

Every year some fads come to light and if you are not a person who thinks with your head and follows your desires, this can quickly lead you to disappointment. Of course, this does not mean that you should not try new things, but still do not force yourself into something if you see that it is not for you. When it comes to a sporting activity, be sure to choose one that you won't struggle to get into.

2. Set clear goals

It's good to know what your goals are, because that's the only way you'll know what to do, how to motivate yourself and where to start. If your goal is more flexibility in your lower back, you probably won't be lifting 70 pounds at the gym, because that's likely to make things worse. When you have set goals, it is recommended to acquire knowledge from relevant literature and people who are educated about it.

3. Relaxation after sports

Relaxation after it is just as important as recreation. Be it a long bubble bath, sauna, swimming pool, reading a book, Netflix under a soft blanket, meditation, massage and the list goes on.

4. Create habits

Don't think too much, just do it. In order to create new habits, you first need to make a plan. This is usually a weekly schedule and schedule of activities that you will have. If you want to achieve these goals, set your alarm clock, don't think and just go and do what you have to do. If after a month or two you still cannot get used to the changes, it is recommended to create new habits.

5. Invite a friend

If you can't do it alone, we recommend that you decide to practice with a partner, be it a parent, sibling, friend or partner. They say that it's easier in twos, so don't give up, because you'll have extra motivation.

6. Adequate time

An important factor that will influence your sports activity is also the time you choose for your sports activity. If you know that you are not a morning person, by no means get up too early, but decide to exercise in the afternoon or evening, if of course your schedule allows it. Otherwise, it takes more discipline to get used to the new ritual.

7. Start slow

If you are a beginner, don't rush too fast and take it nice and slow. Take small steps. Choose an exercise or limit the amount of time that the body can tolerate and do not overdo it, as this can cause excessive muscle soreness, which can lead to a loss of willpower and stamina. Gradually increase and add time, but know that this is a slow process that the body can get used to.

8. Equipment

If you're new to a sport, don't forget to check what tools and equipment you need. To begin with, your own weight is enough, slowly add weights and bands. If you have decided to do sports in nature, be prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing.
