This is a dessert that will perfume your kitchen in these autumn days, try the divine bread with apples. This traditional American recipe is very easy to prepare, so it can also come in handy when you have unannounced guests.
Bread with apples
Ingredients
- 200 g of brown sugar
- 180 g of flour
- 125 g of whole milk
- 115 g of butter
- 100 g of white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 apples Granny Smith (or any other variety)
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder
- 1.5 teaspoons of baking soda
- 115 powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons of milk
Directions
- Put the butter and white sugar in a mixer and mix until you get a uniform smooth mixture (approx. 2 minutes).
- Add vanilla extract, whole milk and eggs. Continue mixing.
- Add the flour, baking soda and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder to the mixture. Mix well.
- In a large bowl, mix the peeled apples (cut into roughly equal cubes), 100 grams of brown sugar and the remaining teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Place half of the bread mixture in a greased mold, cover with sugar apples and cover with the rest of the mixture.
- Sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar over the top of the sweet bread.
- Bake the sweet breads in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 50 minutes.
- Allow the bread to cool completely.
- Finally, make the glaze. Mix the milk and powdered sugar into a lump-free mixture, which you pour over the cooled apple bread.
