Ingredients
- 360 g of white flour
- 240 ml of warm water
- 60 g of butter + 120 g of butter for the filling
- 7 g of instant yeast
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
- a teaspoon of salt
- a little olive oil
- 45 g of grated Parmesan cheese
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- a small handful of fresh parsley

Directions
- First, make the dough. Mix flour, salt, sugar and instant yeast. Add melted butter and warm water. Mix everything together on a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes.
- Form the dough into a ball, drizzle it with oil and cover everything with a clean cloth. Leave to rise for about 2.5 hours or enough time to double the volume.
- Put the risen dough back on a floured surface and shape it into a rectangle about half a meter long. Use a knife to cut the dough into strips about 2.5 centimeters wide.
- Stretch each strip in your hand and tie it into a knot. Fold the edges of the dough under a knot. Repeat the process until you have used up all the dough.
- Place the shaped pastry on two greased baking sheets. Let the pastry rise for about half an hour.
- Heat the oven to 180 C.
- For the filling, melt butter and add grated garlic. Before baking the pastry, spread half of the mixture on the risen dough.
- Bake the pastry in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until it gets a nice golden color.
- When the baking is finished, coat it with the rest of the prepared butter, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, a little salt and chopped parsley.
