With the dawn of a new year, our expectations increase for various things and one long-awaited joy is the influx of fresh TV series. In addition to the return of popular shows, our eyes are firmly on the prospect of new content. Below we present the highly anticipated best series of 2024 to grace our screens.

Exciting new series - the best series of 2024 - are coming this year, promising excitement and fresh stories. Among the most anticipated are "Masters of the Air", a war drama produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, and the fourth season of "True Detective", in which Jodie Foster plays. HBO also brings “The Regime,” a political drama, and “The Penguin,” a series focusing on a villain from the Batman universe. Amazon Prime will present “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”, a series based on the film with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, while Apple TV+ will air “Palm Royale”, an interesting story about a woman rebuilding her identity in the 1960s.

The Regime

The new HBO series “The Regime,” coming March 3rd, is a drama set in authoritarian regime, teetering on the brink of collapse. The cast, which includes Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton and Matthias Schoenaerts, promises a compelling exploration of the regime's tumultuous days.

Masters of the Air

Set to release in the summer of 2024, Lords of the Air stands out as one of the most highly anticipated series. This miniseries tells the story of 11 World War II soldiers who pilot a bomber known as the Flying Fortress. Created by the dynamic duo of Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, the series boasts of star cast, including Austin Butler, Barry Keoghan and Callum Turner. The first two episodes premiered on Apple TV+ on January 26.

A True Detective: North Country

Jodie Foster takes on the lead role in the fourth season of True Detective, titled The North Country, which premieres on HBO on January 14. The six-part season follows Foster's character as he investigates a disappearance in the rugged terrain of Alaska.

Penguin

Batman enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the HBO Max miniseries “The Penguin,” which delves into the life of the iconic villain. The series, simply titled “Penguin,” follows Oswald Cobblepot's transformation from a disfigured outcast to a notorious Gotham gangster. Colin Farrell reprises his role and continues his portrayal of the character from the latest Batman film.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

The remake of the famous action film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith”, which is set to release on February 2nd on Prime, is coming as a series. Donald Glover and Maya Erskine take on the roles previously portrayed by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and bring them to life a tale of two operatives, dealing in espionage, fortune and travel with a touch of new identities and agreed-upon vices.

Palm Royale

Airing on Apple TV+ on March 20, Palm Royale promises to be a charming female-centric miniseries. A series centered on a woman who reconstructs its identity in the sixties set in the 1990s after being abandoned by her husband and social circle, it boasts an impressive cast including Kristen Wiig, Allison Janney, Laura Dern, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Ricky Martin and Kaia Gerber, daughter of Cindy Crawford.
