The BMW 3 Series is one of the most important models in the BMW range, and it enters 2023 with a refreshed look and a strong technological upgrade. The changes are not big. But connoisseurs will notice them immediately. Of course, the update is also technological.
BMW 3 was refreshed for 2023 to remain competitive in the luxury sports sedan class. The external changes are small, but we got a heavily modified interior that brings new technologies and the latest operating system BMW iDrive 8.
Photo: BMWThe new BMW 3 brings conservative changes. It does not come with split headlights or even bigger ʺkidneysʺ, but it has a modified lower part and air deflectors in the front bumper. The headlights have been slightly changed, the lines are less sharp and the "kidneys" are slightly wider. The renewed 3 series can thus boast a cleaner, more calm appearance of the front part, while the rear of the car follows the same design idea. The rear lights have retained their shape, but have become thinner compared to the predecessor. The rear has more pronounced L-shaped elements.
The interior of the renewed 3 Series has undergone the biggest change. As expected, the 3 Series now also has a large curved display that is made up of two central drivers 12.3 inch indicator screen and 14.9-inch screen intended for info-telematics applications. The display necessitated changes to the center console, which has modified air vents and the climate control buttons have been moved to a different location. Shift lever 8-speed of the automatic transmission is significantly smaller and changed to a selection button.

The operating system's graphics and selection menus mimic those of smartphones, and its functionality is upgraded with even greater use of voice commands. More digital content is available to the driver and passengers, and BMW's navigation system maps are now stored in the cloud. Connectivity is available 5G, and with a car we can connect to 10 digital devices. There were no major changes in the power units of the renewed 3 series.
