May 24, 1972 represents a big day in automotive history. It was then that the first BMW with the M designation appeared, followed by a bunch of now legendary models. On the occasion of the important jubilee, the M department prepared special editions of the current BMW M3 and BMW M4 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M.
No matter where you are in the world, the special edition will have the same name everywhere. BMW M3 and BMW M4 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M marks the 50th anniversary since the first BMW M hit the road. The special edition features jubilee emblems and a special Edition 50 Jahre BMW M inscription on the door sills of the car. A ʺplaqueʺ' will be visible on the center console, indicating the special edition and serial number of the car. Inside, you can see classic BMW M colors such as red, blue and ʺnavyʺ, or a light shade of blue.
The special edition features exclusive forged wheels and a front air deflector made of carbon fiber. Each car will be equipped with a wide range of M Performance body parts, and for traveling in style, there will even be a special case to match the exclusive version of BMW M. In Europe, the M4 model will be available in Carbon Black, Brands Hatch Gray , Imola Red, Macao Blue and San Marino Blue. It will be available in Fire Orange and Stratus Gray in China, as it is currently the Year of the Tiger in China.

The color range will be even more exciting in the northern part of America, as it revives the colors that were present on the most convincing and celebrated BMW M models. This time, the M3 model will be available in interesting colors: Cinibar Red, seen on the E30 version, Techno Violet from the E36 version, Deep Interlagos Blue from the E46 version, Fire Orange III from the E92 version and Limerock Gray from the F80 version. The colors Techno Violet and Deep Interlagos Blue are resurrected exclusively and will only be available in 2023. The 50th anniversary edition of the brand will be extraordinary limited, and production should start already this month in July.
