Recipe: cherry strudel (cherry roll)

Once upon a time, it was impossible to imagine a family lunch without strudel, this recipe for a roll with cherries from ready-made dough will work even for those housewives with less experience.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 400 g of yogurt
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 bags of vanilla sugar
  • 1.5 cup servings
  • 1 baking powder
  • 1 cup oil
  • 500 g purchased pulled dough
  • 500 g of cherries

Directions

  1. Beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar, then add yogurt and oil.
  2. Add semolina and baking powder and mix to obtain a smooth mixture without lumps. Leave the prepared mixture in the refrigerator for an hour to harden a little.
  3. Place two sheets of dough on the work surface, cover them with yogurt and semolina filling, sprinkle evenly with pitted cherries, and wrap them nicely.
  4. We repeat the process with the remaining sheets of dough, so that we get a total of five štrukljes.
  5. Place the rolls next to each other in a lightly oiled baking pan, or place them on baking paper.
  6. Heat the oven to 180 C and bake for about 20 minutes. When the strudel is baked, sprinkle it with a little water, cover with a clean cloth and leave to cool.
  7. Cut into equal pieces and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
