Bugatti Divo: 40 sinfully expensive masterpieces

Bugatti Divo

The Bugatti Divo is actually a rebadged Bugatti Chiron, with a nice number of tweaks. The 'Chiron' has never been so stunning to look at, but all this skin is for a specific purpose - increased aerodynamics.

Engineers were looking for a way to further increase the Chiron's cornering capabilities. The answer is found in the super sports car with the name Bugatti Diva. The designers got it right all surfaces on the car and tried to get everything out of them the biggest aerodynamic effect. The front end has kept the traditional Bugatti the mask, which adapted the headlights, which now have a more vertical layout instead of horizontal. Additional openings on the front provide even more air needed for efficient operation cooling brake system.

Aerodynamic tweaks have even reached the roof, which features a redesigned air intake that cools the massive W 16 cylinder engine. At the rear, the Divo has an active spoiler, which is for 23 % wider than that of the Chiron, but at the same time it has a function of some kind 'air' brakes. The Divo has also lost weight compared to the Chiron. At Bugatti, they are with the Chiron, which weighs 1.996 kilograms, removed some noise reduction and added lighter rims. The weight is less for mere 35 kilograms, but nothing for that, less weight actually means faster acceleration and more more adrenaline.

All the changes still pay off in the Bugatti Div. On the Nardò test track, the Divo is a real hit 8 seconds faster from Chiron. All the credit goes to the aforementioned aerodynamic additions, because they didn't mess with the engine and it still has it 1.500 of horses powers. Aerodynamics, however, influenced the final speed of the Divo. This one is 'only' 380 km/h, while Chiron achieves electronically limited 420 km/h, although some speculate that it could reach even 482 km/h or 300 miles per hour.

Bugatti Divo is expensive even for those who have something under their thumb and can afford a super sports car. It is necessary to deduct approx 5 million euros. But even if you have these 5 million ready on the side, it will unfortunately not help you, because it is already all of them 40 examples of Bugatti Diva sold. The Divo is definitely a beast that will outshine many a supercar, and a close encounter with it while driving on Slovenian roads can be equated with a meeting 'Big Foot in North American forests.
