Carnival days in Ljubljana are marked every year by the Dragon Carnival (2019), which will also this year offer a carnival procession and an entertainment program. We will admire traditional, ethnological, children's and many other carnival masks, which will walk around the city center - they will additionally brighten the carnival Saturday with their unique performances on the Congress Square.

The end of February this year also marks the end of winter and the call of spring. Kurents will dance in the oldest Slovenian city on February 23 and start calling for spring and all good things. During the 59th Kurentovanje 2019, as part of Artfest, Etnofest and Karnevalfest, you will be part of ethnographic and carnival processions, concerts, masked dances, you will also be able to see exhibitions, ethnographic characters, carnival baskets and much more.
The AntiValentine's Party is a two-day concert event that will please all the alternative people who need their own event in the name of love. After three years of entertaining the Zagreb audience, the AntiValentino concert will take place in our region for the fourth year. LET 3, TBF and Vojko V will perform in Cvetličarna on the first evening. On Thursday, the audience will be entertained by Edo Maajka, Klemen Klemen and the group Elemental, which operates under the slogan "Everything, only romance".
In March, those of you planning, building or renovating will be able to visit the 58th Dom Fair 2019 - 500 companies from more than 30 countries will be presented at it. At this year's fair, the topics of sustainable construction, comprehensive energy renovation of buildings and the zero-energy standard, which came into force on January 1st, are at the center. Companies will thus present trends in various fields, and you will be able to take part in free advice from experts on all days of the fair.
Gibanica represents the most important contemporary dance platform in our country, where local and foreign guests can see various contemporary dance products by local producers. At the 9th Biennale of Contemporary Slovenian Dance Art 2019, you will witness ten competitive performances selected by a three-member jury from Slovenia, France and Croatia. In addition to the performances, the organizers also prepared a presentation of book editions, two round tables and a discussion.
Coprnica, the dragon, Butalci, great-grandmother Uršula and many masked pirates, playful princesses, brave firemen, ladybugs, bees and other carnival lovers will scare the winter for ten days and enjoy the carnival company. They will start with the traditional Žaganj baba, they will also enjoy exhibitions, the official Butal TV program, children's masquerade, carnival party and the Great Carnival. The traditional event will end with the Burial of Pusta.
Ever since the first Ljubljana Sparkling Wine Salon, the organizers have followed their mission - spreading the culture of drinking wine and good food. In the heart of the capital, this year you will once again enjoy the wines of 40 winemakers, who will present around 120 different wines. In addition to enjoying a drop of wine, you will also be able to taste selected food that pairs perfectly with sparkling wines. Various events, workshops and guided tastings are also an integral part of the 6th Ljubljana Sparkling Wine Salon. As part of the SSW network, an international evaluation of sparkling wines will also take place.
