City Limited & Gourmet // Spring 2013

Someone once said that the essence of travel is to exaggerate, and exaggeration leads to wisdom and the perfection of life. The great artist Leonardo da Vinci also aspired to the wisdom of perfectionism, and I dare say that he managed to transform the accepted moment of that time into an eternity of duration. And although his ladies were somehow not attractive in appearance, the image of Mona Lisa, without exaggeration, rises above the average.

With this, Da Vinci proved or confirmed that he created not only a visually attractive work, but also something that can inspire respect, strength, elation, passion..., imagination. He created a center of beauty and energy, with the common denominator of perfection. It would be difficult to talk about the touch of immortality for the work of the people who are creating this moment, to network us with just a glance, either with their own charisma, with the usability of the product or with a good advertising campaign, but nevertheless their work and creativity distinguishes and fulfills them. This time, the explosive design wave will play us all the way to the promised land and back, impressing us with motifs and patterns from nature and folk tradition, and stretching out visual stimuli by changing proportions. We will look for passion with a strong Spanish temperament in the designer Regina Puig, whose personal attitude adds value to her products. And if we don't satisfy our wanderlust in Barcelona, we can curiously look at the modern caravan of seven containers. Of course, it would be unforgivable not to mention at least one of China's fastest-growing cities, which has replaced a collection of fishing villages with a global city of design. We will stop in front of the largest digital gallery, which is a logical consequence of the coexistence of advertising and art, which infuses the industry with creativity into the midnight moments. We will continue our journey where we left off and where we were carried away by the wave of the sea, which we will connect with culinary diplomacy and over which we will build a bridge between two cultures with the American-styled project. We will continue to wonder if there is still any room between tradition and customs and discover microbreweries with maxi-name beer, behind which Slovenian stories stand. For gourmets who swear by a meat-free plate, we took a closer look at the chain of vegan restaurants Loving Hut. Finally, the thought that you can experience your whole life in one moment, you just have to accept this moment, which should last and last.
