Bryan Ferry, one of the most innovative singers in popular rock music, began his career in the early 1970s in the progressive pop-rock group Roxy Music. Just as perfectionist as he went about his work at Roxy Music, he also continued his solo career. The artist, who continues to evolve even today, is coming to Munich, Germany on September 14th.

Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno led the band in the early seventies Roxy Music, who, emerging from the art-rock of the late sixties, fascinated the music scene with their glamour, pop-art and avant-garde, which set them apart from everyone else. Dressed in bizarre but stylish costumes, they played art-rock that contained elements of avant-rock and pop. In 1983, at the peak of success and popularity, Bryan Ferry disbanded the group and pursued a solo career.
Since his early beginnings with Roxy Music in the early 1970s, Bryan Ferry has been one of the most innovative singers in popular rock music. His singing is distinguished by an original, relaxed sound - he sings with the grace of Frank Sinatra, the charisma of Gainsbourg and the intensity of Johnny Ray. The quality tone of the voice, the elan and once ultra-modern performance, refined with a special pathos, have always characterized Ferry as a specific pop icon later in his solo career. His style is also specific in that it is embraced several ways of singing – from French chanson to classical singing and interpretation of sharp hard rock.

In the first half of the seventies, Bryan Ferry recorded a successful series of aggressive, modern intoxicating songs, including his favorite songs "Shame Shame Shame" and "Let's Stick Together" by Wilbert Harrison.
Equally precise in his work with Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry managed to brilliantly establish the tension between melodramatics and longing. Many of his best and most famous compositions describe a lonely, isolated romantic, but at the same time he has always been considered one of the biggest icons among these "women's heart breakers".
His best musical works are featured on a few of his solo albums, including two "Boys And Girls" (1985), "Bete Noire" (1987) and "Taxi" (1993). We know him from songs like "Slave To Love", "Don't Stop The Dance", "Is Your Love Strong Enough" and "Make You Feel My Love". Last year, Ferry returned with his fifteenth album "Avonmore" (2014), which can be easily compared to his most notable original creations from the 1980s.
