The Days of Comedy will once again bring top theater creators from institutional and non-institutional theaters from all over Slovenia to Celje.
Festival Comedy Days has become a trademark of Celje, and was held for the first time in 1992. The competition program of the festival includes eight performances each year, which compete for the award for the best show, best director, best female comedian and best comedian of the year. Competition performances are also evaluated by the audience, which chooses the best performance, as well as the comedian of the evening every night.
This year's Comedy Days will take place over three weekends - the last February and the first two weekends of March (including Thursday) will be dedicated to noble comedy. Ionesco will open the festival Instruction directed Matjaž Zupančič, after which the performances will take place: The Collected Works of William Shakespeare, That's how you are, The Buffo Mystery, Watch out, M@il!, Burundanga, Seven years of scraps and Theft. This year, the noble event in Celje ends with a performance In my opinion, Slovenians.
