The third Karst Prosciutto Festival, which is the central thread of the event, will be aimed at pampering all five senses. Visitors will be able to enjoy free prosciutto tastings and learn about its European symbol of quality. The noble culinary masterpiece will flow even more with the music of the Kranjci ethnic band, the atmosphere of the Karst Ohceti and the smell of the Karst herbs.
June 8 will be Pogačarjev trg in Ljubljana for the third year in a row in a sign of delicious food, as it will take place Karst prosciutto festival 2019. The visitors got to know this delicious dish well, so this year they will also hear something about karst rocks, habits - with by singing and by dancing they will conjure in the Karst national costumes the atmosphere of a real karst ohceti, as it once took place in bordering karst municipalities.
At the event, visitors will be able to they also tasted delicious Karst prosciutto for free, watched the masters cutting thin slices of prosciutto and learned more about production of this culinary specialty, which can be recognized by its marking with the European quality symbol - protected geographical indication. This means that the product is characterized by quality and reputation, everything and the production phases take place within the marked geographical area.
