For the first time in 800 years, a Christmas star will light up the sky!

An unusual celestial phenomenon is the poinsettia!

The Star of Bethlehem or Christmas Star is actually a real and rare phenomenon that occurs due to the convergence of Saturn and Jupiter, and we will be able to see this phenomenon in the sky on December 21.

For the first time after 800 years the 'Christmas star' will light up the sky this month, writes the media Real Simple.

This will happen thanks to Jupiter and Saturn, which should put on a real 'show' on December 21. These two largest planets in the solar system are on their way to 'collide' in an extremely rare event not seen since the Middle Ages.

On December 21, Jupiter and Saturn will come so close that they will appear as a 'double planet', appearing to us on Earth as one super bright point of light.

Alignments between these two planets are quite rare, they happen once in a while twenty years, but this connection is extremely rare because of how close the planets will appear to each other - said Patrick Hartigan, an astronomer from Rice University. He further explained that we would have to rewind time to the dawn of March 4, 1226 to see an even closer alignment of these planets visible in the night sky.

This is the star that led the three kings to Jesus

This incredible phenomenon in history is known as the "Christmas Star" or "Bethlehem Star". According to the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew, 2, 1-12), the star brought the three holy kings to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born.

As a signpost, it has become an important element of Christmas decoration, which is directly related to Christianity, along with nativity scenes and Christmas angels. Therefore, the poinsettia is placed on top of the Christmas tree, where it usually remains until the feast of the Three Holy Kings.

There are theories that the legendary star in the story of the Three Wise Men could be a rare triple union of Jupiter, Saturn and Venus.

According to experts, the rare event will be visible anywhere the sky is clear about an hour after sunset on December 21, the winter solstice. Mark the event in your calendar, because such a close connection will only happen again March 15, 2080!

Could it be that the star heralds a new savior?
