Forza Motorsport, the next major game in the popular racing series, will launch in 2023 on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Developer Turn 10 Studios describes it as 'the most technically advanced racing game ever made,' with over 500 cars, 20 environments and fully dynamic weather and day/night cycles.
Fans of the popular racing car of the Forza series have been eagerly awaiting the next major game in the franchise – Forza Motorsport 2023 – and their wait is finally over. Today, developer Turn 10 Studios announced that Forza Motorsport 2023 will launch in 2023 on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
According to the studio, the game will be "the most technically advanced racing game ever made," with over 500 cars and 20 environments, including five brand new locations, including one in South Africa. The game will also feature realistic dirt build-up, paint peeling, and fully dynamic weather and day/night cycles. Graphics enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the game will be rendered at 4K at 60 frames per second and will include ray tracing support.
The announcement comes after a long period of silence regarding the game's development. Forza Motorsport 7 first launched in 2017 on Xbox One and PC, and the well-received spin-off Forza Horizon 5 hit the X and S series (and PC) in 2021.
The Forza series is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed racing franchises in the world with more than 100 million players and as many as 27 awards. The first game, Forza Motorsport, was released in 2005 for the Xbox.
