The Garaža pizzeria is located along Dolenjska cesta in Ljubljana, where they offer a wide variety of pizzas, hot sandwiches and desserts. Garage should not be counted as one of many pizzerias, as it has a very special and unique atmosphere. The walls are full of car plates from all over the world, car parts, exhaust pipes, screws and welding machines. There are lights hanging from the ceiling that the owner made himself and in general everything looks as if it was brought 'from the workshop'. The plaques on the walls began to appear fifteen years ago, when the pizzeria was opened. Since then, people have been bringing plaques from different parts of the world, and owner Bojan emphasizes that the bar is not just his, but the property of everyone who left a part of themselves in it. He says that he is probably the only owner in Ljubljana who also bakes pizzas. Among these, the guests praise the Sicilian pizza the most (it used to be considered the "chef's"), where the flavors of arugula, prosciutto, gorgonzola, peppers and tomatoes are mixed on pizza prepared in the Italian way with thin dough. Among the specialties are pizza with truffles and pizza with capers. The hunter's pizza is very interesting, with deer salami, three types of fresh mushrooms and mozzarella. Pasta lovers should not miss the lasagna from the bread oven. A small and homely place with friendly staff is a real experience for the visitor, and for motorcycle enthusiasts it is a great pleasure just to sit and observe what is displayed in the pizzeria, which is slowly turning into a real museum.
