Between May 16 and 22, the National Volunteer Week will take place, organized for the seventeenth year in a row by Slovenian Philanthropy, the Association for the Promotion of Volunteerism. The week will have the slogan "All generations, all colors, all knowledge. With love." The Happy Day of Volunteering will take place on Prešeren square in Ljubljana, where around 70 volunteer organizations will present themselves.
Happy Volunteer Day will be on May 17, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Prešeren square in Ljubljana. It will be presented around 70 volunteer organizations, which will show in one place that volunteers are happier and healthier people. In the talks, visitors will be able to learn to whom and why you could dedicate some of your free time. Above all, the Happy Day is intended for fun, pleasant socializing and networking among volunteers and organizations as well as visitors.
For the second time, Slovenian philanthropy is organizing the Solemn Day of Volunteering, where awards will be given to cities that are friendly to volunteering, to volunteers in the public administration, and to the heroes of our time, who are primary and secondary school students. The celebration will take place May 19 in Slovenske Konjice.

The National Volunteer Week (formerly the Volunteer Festival) is already being prepared by Slovenian philanthropy in cooperation with many organizations from all over Slovenia seventeen years in a row. Various events related to volunteering take place throughout Slovenia, but the most visited is the Happy Volunteering Day, which is traditionally held under the patronage of the mayor in the center of Ljubljana.
Major events are organized in Maribor and Novi Gorizia, and activities will also take place in Dolenja Trebuša, Ljubljana, Nové mesto, Polzela, Ptuj, Trbovlje, Veliki Lašče and Zagorje ob Sava.
