When customers want more power, Hennessey calmly says, “No problem,” and creates the near-autonomous Venom F5 Evolution – an American hypercar that blows gasoline fumes out of your ears. And it does so without the help of electricity.
When 1,817 horsepower just isn't enough for you, it's clearly time for something more extreme. Enter Hennessey Venom F5 Evolution – an answer to the calls of hyper-rich drivers who want even more, even faster and even more brutal.
A collaboration between Hennessey and the masters at Ilmor Engineering (yes, the ones from Formula 1 and IndyCar) has given birth to a completely new evolution of the already famous 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 “Fury” engine. The result? 2,031 hp (1,515 kW) and 1,445 lb-ft (1,959 Nm) of torque – purely on gasoline, with no hybrid add-ons or electric motors. All of this runs on environmentally friendly Shell E85 fuel.
Like a rocket – with a steering wheel
Yes, 0-100 km/h acceleration is for family wagons. The Venom F5 Evolution instead targets 0-322 km/h (0-200 mph) in a staggering 10.3 seconds. That's a speed that will not only confuse your brain, but physics as well.
This performance is achieved by the world's largest mirror turbochargers, aluminium oval pistons with optimised geometry, larger high-flow injectors, titanium exhaust flaps and much more. All of this creates an explosion of power that seems almost otherworldly.
Aerodynamics from the world of Formula 1
Dr. Mark Handford, an aerodynamics expert from the world of Formula 1 and IndyCar, worked with the Hennessey team to thoroughly examine the entire bodywork – in the wind tunnel, on the racetrack and even on airport runways.
The result? A completely new front splitter, additional dive planes at the wheels, deflectors under the car, louvres above the fenders and a Gurney lip on the rear spoiler. All of this increases downforce and stability, especially when combined with the new adaptive suspension.
Comfort for those who drive more than just to the garage
Because some owners actually drive their hypercars (and not just admire them in sterile garages), Hennessey offers an optional Touring package. This includes more comfortable leather seats with additional lateral support and a laser-cut launch motif on the rear, a sports exhaust, and – of course – a carbon cup holder. Perfect for a coffee while driving across the Alps.

Conclusion: a rocket on wheels, powered by gasoline and American ego
The Hennessey Venom F5 Evolution isn't just a hypercar—it's a philosophy. It's a shout-out to electrification and a reminder that internal combustion isn't done yet. In an age where "quiet" means "advanced," Hennessey pushes the sound barrier button and screams, "Not yet!"
With a base price of around $2 million and an additional $285,000 for the Evolution package, the F5 Evolution is undoubtedly exclusive. But with a package that includes 2,031 horsepower, Formula 1-grade technology, a carbon seat, and—no joke—a coffee cup holder, you get a car that drives, flies, and screams like nothing else in the world.
If this is going to be the last dance of gasoline-powered hypercars, then it's the dance atop Mount Everest. On wheels. With fireworks.
