Holidays with children are not the same as holidays without them. Probably every parent knows what we mean by this. Although parents spend time with their children, they don't have much time for themselves when it comes to vacation, and the matter is even more unpleasant. That is why, in this article, we reveal to you what it is good to think about when you go on vacation with your little one.

How many times have you heard that a parent should after a family vacation take another vacation? A recent study of 2,000 parents of children under the age of 14 found that family vacations are anything but vacations. Although parents love to spend time with their children, they don't have much time for themselves. The study showed that parents have, on average, among family members on holidays, only 17 minutes for your own relaxation. Children are relaxing, boundaries are shifting, dozens of different activities, wishes and needs need to be coordinated, which can be exhausting. Below we have some tips that can help you relax on vacation.

1. Choose your vacation location wisely

When you're on vacation, it's usually the biggest stress planning a trip to the beach. Sitting in a hot car, driving, looking for parking near the beach, buying food and drinks, worrying if you brought everything, is there enough shade, etc. There are so many logistics and crowds that it makes one tired. If you can afford it, spend the summer as close to the beach as possible or in a facility that has a pool. Whether you're camping or in an apartment, being close to it will take a lot of the load off of you.

2. Avoid vacations with relatives

If possible, try to avoid vacations with relatives, as they may be theirs expectations for vacation are different. If you have a harmonious relationship with them, a vacation with them can also be good, as they can look after the child, when you go to dinner with your partner or they take him to the beach with you, and you have a few hours to yourself.

3. Do not travel alone with a child

Many parents who can use only two weeks of vacation due to work often decide on a system: first one parent spends 15 days with the child on vacation, then the other, since the goal is for the child to be at sea as long as possible. This is especially evident in those parents who they don't have a grandmother's service and child care for the long summer vacation. If you can afford the change, try it spend the summer together and take time to rest. It is not necessary that both of you are available to the child all the time, but organize yourself so that you also have time for relaxation.

4. Travel with friends

When it's several families with children in the same house on vacation, it is somehow easier, provided of course that you go on vacation with friends with whom you get along and have similar rhythms of life. Such a vacation can be quite relaxing, as you can help each other both with child care and taking care of each other.

5. Worry less about rules

Vacations are for relaxation, so allow yourself to spend less on them everyday rules. Allow yourself not to cook sometimes, eat "on the go", order food, don't clean obsessively, but just enjoy a well-deserved vacation.
