IFA 2017: Zeiss VR One Connect - the cheapest VR entertainment yet

ZEISS VR One Connect – the cheapest VR entertainment to date

Until now, virtual reality has been a bit of a bummer. It's not that real reality is any cheaper, but the tools to enter the virtual world may be one of the reasons why we don't enter it more than once. But that may change now. Zeiss and Steam know why and how! At IFA 2017, which will take place between September 1 and 6 in Berlin, they will reveal another secret.

Zeiss VR One Connect will allow you to play many VR games on SteamVR™. You will connect your gaming PC with a mobile phone and two controllers ZEISS VR ONE Connect Bluetooth® and entered the virtual world. Franz Troppenhagen, product manager at Zeiss, says that: “unlike previous VR mobile solutions, information will now flow directly from the PC to the smartphone". Connection with the SteamVR™ platform will allow you to access the best games on your mobile phone for the first time. You will put the Zeiss VR One Connect on your head and immerse yourself in virtuality. As mentioned before, you'll be able to do all of this for a lot less money because you need the latest iOS mobile phones or Android with a 4.7- to 5.5-inch screen, which you then insert into Zeiss' VR One Connect, and that's it.

The price for VR One Connect will be 129 euros.
