Layer: a multi-layered chair that you can customize according to your mood

Multi-layer chair Layer

Korean graphic and industrial designer Sohyun Yun believes in design's ability to make people happy. With its multi-layer chair, Layer aims for adaptability, uniqueness and durability of the product. Layer is made of transparent acrylic with slots in the seat and backrest for layers of different designs, which can be combined as desired and thus be your own designer.

Layer is a multi-layered chair, which you can tailor to your current inspiration. Basically transparent acrylic chair it has gaps in the seat and backrest, where the user can insert a maximum of three layers of printed or colored acrylic, but it can also be wood, glass or any other material you can think of. Sohyun Yun created the Layer chair with the intention that people will not get tired of it due to its multifaceted "personality". At the same time it is a chair reflection of consumerism, when people follow trends and buy goods that will satisfy our needs and taste, (only) until a new product comes out to replace the "old".

Layer is a chair that follows your mood.

With the possibility of customization you can also replace the Layer, but without actually having to replace it with another chair. Z changing layers we can tailor it according to the current inspiration or mood, just as we choose music according to the mood.
