The Lexus RZ 450e represents a completely new electric car of this brand and is essentially the same as the Toyota bZ4X and the Subaru Soleterra. But it is also noticeably different from the two, since it is, after all, a premium brand.
Because it's a Lexus after all, yes Lexus RZ 450e noticeably different from the related Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra. The exterior is cleaner and wears less plastic ʺcoversʺ. The pillars are painted in shiny black, which recreates the impression of a floating roof. The side mirrors are also black, and they are located lower than in the aforementioned models. The headlights have been changed, and the RZ got lines that are characteristic only for it, so we cannot talk about the fact that it differs from the others only by the badge.
The interior of the BZ model offers an unusual steering wheel and an interior of its own. The instrument display is located closer to the driver, and only he has an even larger one 14-inch touch screen. The center console offers a few more hotkeys to access various functions in the car. The interior is dominated by premium materials and is also the most pleasant of the three.
The RZ is only available with four-wheel drive, which is hidden under the label Direct4. The front electric motor of the 450e model has 150 kW of power, and the rear one has 80 kW. This is how they grow together 230 kW, respectively 313 horsepower. The available torque is 435 newton meters. Battery with capacity 71.4 kWh should have enough energy to 362 kilometers a long way, but it also depends on the level of equipment we choose. Better equipped models have more additional equipment, which is consequently also heavier. The Lexus RZ is expected to be available towards the end of this year.
