The Lola Mk6 GT, an overlooked and forgotten racing icon

Magnifico would say: "But aren't you the one who is on TV all the time". Oh no, no, no, the Lola Mk6 GT is a car that may look familiar, but it's probably not what you think it is. It is the result of a collaboration between Ford and Lola and later became the springboard for Ford's iconic GT40 model, which you probably confused with.

With this, he broke Ferrari's long-standing dominance and justified the risk of the engine's central position.

The massive success of the GT40 is fast plunged into oblivion, which is evidenced by only three welded chassis, which is a shame, because it was a very modest Lola 'beta' version the first Ford Le Mans winner.
