MindRider, the first sage among cycling helmets

Cycling as a mode of transport used for daily migrations seems to be less stressful than driving a car. But the truth is that, especially in cities, this is a small utopia. This challenge is now being tackled by the MindRider helmet, a helmet that reads minds, identifies stress points and records the route using GPS, while an iPhone app simultaneously translates its language into thought patterns.

Interactive smart helmet MindRider is the work of Arlen Ducon, who has an electroencephalographic sensor built into his forehead (EEG) to measure the electrical activity of the brain, and in the ears a sensor to neutralize the noise caused by 'traffic' in the brain-helmet relationship. It is located on the edge of it LED light, which signals and keeps us updated on how our brain reacts to what is happening around us. It is an instant feedback from the EEG sensor iPhone, which is connected to the helmet via bluetooth and which, with the application, simultaneously shakes the mental nuts sent to it by this nut shell image of the helmet.

MindRider's set of mental patterns of different cyclists will serve as your best guide in choosing the most relaxed cycling route.

The brush of our lines on the map is a bicycle, and the final image on the iPhone is the traveled route, graphically equipped with places where we felt comfortable ("sweetspots") and places that required a lot of concentration from us (hotspots). Green-red dots we can further make sense with an explanation, and all together it is an excellent basis to catch a greener wave next time or at least to be better prepared for stress points.

If you want the MindRider helmet to hit the shelves, you can help it through Kickstarter.
